Just one mile from the centre of the small market town of Halesworth yet set in the midst of the Suffolk countryside, Valley Farm has both the convenience of local shops, pubs and restaurants and the tranquillity of rural Suffolk. Although no longer a working farm, we are surrounded by farmland and orchards. With the timeless seaside town of Southwold only 7 miles away and the Heritage Coast with its wild heathland and nature reserves within a short drive, Valley Farm offers something for everyone.

For bird lovers, the area is second to none with the RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere attracting many species of birds not found anywhere else in the country. If you prefer history or shopping then Norwich or Ipswich are both easily accessible on a day trip with museums, a castle and many other attractions for the family. Shopping in Norwich is particularly good as it offers two large shopping centres offering the usual range of nationally known stores, together with a wide variety of individual small shops and a huge daily covered market.

Visitors who enjoy the arts will find this part of Suffolk a joy to visit. There is always something to do ranging from art exhibitions to concerts and theatre. Just one mile from Valley Farm, Halesworth has its own arts centre called The Cut. It was created out of an old maltings in the town centre and offers a really varied programme to suit all tastes and is well worth a visit. Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh are both a short drive away where you can enjoy concerts and festivals that attract internationally acclaimed performers.
